There is a Lamberts Cafe in Foley Al. If you have never been to one, it is a real decent home cookin type place, the kids love it

First is Greenbriar Restaurant. NOT Greenbriar Barbeque. Greenbriar Rest is located approx. 1 mile off I-565 West, about halfway between Huntsville and Decatur. From I-565, take the Greenbriar Road exit, turn right, and go straight for approx. 2 miles. When reach a 4-way stop it will be on your right. Avoid the new one directly off the Interstate. Excellent bbq chicken and the best hushpuppies on the planet.  Second is Mary's BBQ on Ryland Pike, east of Huntsville. Not sure if they will be open this time of year (they tend to be seasonal) but it is well worth the trip. Take Hwy 72 East from Huntsville, go approx 5 miles, and Ryland Pike veers to the left. Follow Ryland Pike through the intersection of Maysville Road and Mary's is at the bottom of the hill on the left. Hope these help!

We had dinner on Thursday at Big Bob Gibsons BBQ in Decatur and it was great. I had Brunswick stew, turkey, a rib and the biggest baked potato I've ever seen. Everything was first rate, JC Stevens and I agreed that it was the best restaurant Q we'd ever eaten. I assure you that both JC and I have eaten alot of all kinds of Q.
I also had a piece of lemon pie that deserved 9's across the board. Then I heard that B.B. Perrins BBQ served a rib gumbo worth stopping for and luckily enough I met the proprietor Steve at the cookoff. He brought me some to go and I ate it on the way home. It was delicious. I'll go back next year for the cookoff but I'll be sure to visit these two places when I'm there.
