Advanced search features

It's now time to explore some of the search features of The BBQ CD.  Starting with the main menu click on KCBS COOKBOOK and then click on the SEARCH Link.

Your screen should look like this.  Please note the Indexes button and click once on it and the following screen will appear.

The new box that appears in the middle of the screen allows you to search just the KCBS cookbook or just the BBQ Forum archives, or the cookbook and archives at the same time.  On the released version with two cookbooks plus the archives there will be three indexes that may be activated to expand the scope of your searches, or individually deactivated to limit the scope to any one or two of the three indexes.  In this example we have checked both of them and now it's time to click OK and start our search.  You can type in the word you want to search on.  In our example we typed in "brisket" and then clicked the search button.  After a few seconds the results are displayed.

In our example we found four recipes from the KCBS Cookbook and 1543 threads with multiple messages about brisket from the BBQ Forum.

To start a new search at any time just click on the icon indicated by the red arrow.

This concludes the tour. If you have any questions please call 1-888-898-9790 and ask for Ray.
