Preheat the iron skillet (1/29/2003 11:49:16 AM by Ms Pigsley)

I rubbed the iron skillet with alot of shortening and then stuck it in the over for about 5 minutes. Also, I cut the cooking time by 5 minutes. It still cooks after you take it out of the oven because of the iron skillet.

By the way - isn't that the BEST cornbread? What an awesome taste!
